| Far to the north, a storied city guards the Neva River delta as it empties into the Baltic Sea. Five million inhabitants make their living among the relics and the bones of ages past; massive palaces of past governments and enshrined bronze statues of its heroes remind the people of their place among its greatness. It was here, over three centuries ago, that Peter the Great governed and modernized his immense nation-empire.
Today, a thriving metropolis struggles against the reigns of rapid expansion. Chaos and danger lurk not only in the darkened street-corners, but in broad daylight as well. While an oppressed and fearful people dream of past glories, a powerful but distant President dreams himself their master and yearns for the days when their kind's rule was absolute. But danger does not come only from powerful men and women; this old city has more than one secret in store. The Tsars and their subjects called it Petrograd, the Communists called it Leningrad, and the modern world calls it Saint Petersburg. Here at St. Petersburg: the Fourth Revolution, we invite you to call it home.
